Dear Friends,

I have treated many families over the years and one of the most common conditions that I see is stress with resulting fatigue.

Stress can take many forms in the body.  It often manifests in the weakest part of the body.  For example, chronic stress can result in chronic fatigue syndrome, where the patient will say that even with a full night sleep, he or she does not feel rested and often still feels exhausted.  Stress can also cause insomnia, where the mind races and does not let a person sleep much, if at all.  Over time, stress can weaken the immune system.  A patient can come in complaining of chronic colds that do not fully resolve, feeling achy, tired, often with flu like symptoms.

I run comprehensive blood work and more often than not, the patient's lab work comes back with a positive Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) test.  This test is also called the Chronic Fatigue Virus Test.  We have safe, natural medicines that can treat the Epstein Barr Virus.

Furthermore, lab work often reveals that a person, chronically under stress may have a low thyroid condition.  This person, male or female, usually presents with a number of these most common low thyroid related complaints: Cold hands and feet, fatigue, chronic colds, hair loss, weight gain, mild depression, memory loss, PMS in women, skin problems (most commonly dry skin and /or acne), brittle nails, headaches, and high blood cholesterol level.

Allergies can also result from a lowered immune system that can be brought about by many different types of stressors.  We treat allergies without shots which children and adults appreciate.

Stress building up for years in the body, can take fatigue one step further; it can take on the added burden of pain in the body, otherwise known as fibromyalgia.  Fibromyalgia can occur without fatigue, but in my opinion, it occurs much more frequently with fatigue.  Fortunately, we have safe natural treatments to help both fatigue and fibromyalgia.

Stress, especially chronic stress, can change the hormone levels in the body.  The adrenal and thyroid hormones can be lowered which can lead to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  We treat these conditions routinely, safely and naturally, in our office.  The levels of the female hormones in women can become imbalanced due to chronic stressors leading to Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), irregular periods, early menopause, hot flashes and night sweats in menopause and other associated female conditions.  We can treat most of these conditions naturally and safely.

Lastly, I want to mention a new treatment I employ.  It is called Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy or PEMFT for short.  PEMFT is the answer to my prayers.  It provides a way to help people with nerve/neurological conditions, or painful conditions and stress.  There are some medical conditions that are not indicated for PEMFT and they are dealt with on an individual basis.

It is an honor and a joy to be able to share this information with you.

Blessings to you and your family,

Dr. Bob Sklovsky,
